The Long Term Community Housing Program is designed to involve local government and not-for-profit community organisations in the provision of locally-managed, long-term rental housing for low-income earners whose needs are not adequately met by other housing options. Capital funds are provided on a conditional basis to eligible organisations for the construction, acquisition and/or modification/upgrading of housing.

Most decisions made by the Department of Housing regarding housing services can be appealed. If you have discussed your concerns with department staff but remain unsatisfied with the decision presented to you, you can appeal this decision using the appeals process.
