Application for Private Rental Assistance (online)
You can apply for a Bond Loan or Rental Grant by completing an online Application for Private Rental Assistance form.

To apply for a Bond Loan and/or Rental Grant, you will also need to provide the department with proof of your income. The Employer's Declaration form is an alternative to supplying payslips and is completed by your employer.
Completing the application form
The form provides information to help you fill it in. Please read the instructions on the first page before completing the application form. The questions marked with * must be completed.
To complete your application correctly you must:
- complete the questions on the Application for Private Rental Assistance form
- provide all applicant and dependant details
- provide all approved forms of identification for all applicants
- provide details of the property to be rented, lease start date and lessor or lessor’s agent contact details
- provide all the approved forms of income for each applicant, including the Income Confirmation Service Consent Authority form, Employers Declaration form, etc
- provide proof of current address for each applicant
- specify how you will provide evidence documents.
Saving the application form
You can save the application form at any stage prior to submitting and complete it at a later date. Just click on the 'save' icon or File > Save.
Printing the application form
You can print the online form at any stage of the application by clicking on the printer icon or selecting File > Print. You will then be asked to clarify and enter the number of Tenants and Dependants before the application is printed.
Submitting the application form
You can submit your application and the required documents:
- online – attach electronic copies of the required documents and click the 'Submit' button in part 5
- by post – mail your completed form to:

- in person – at your nearest Housing Services office, Customer Services Centre, Queensland Government Agent Program office (QGAP) or Courthouse
- by email – scan application form and supporting documentation, attach and send to: bondloan@communities.qld.gov.au.
