Housing is a basic human need. One of the prime responsibilities of governments is to ensure the availability of affordable accommodation for families and individuals, including elderly people, young people, those with special needs and the more vulnerable members of our community.
This document, Improving People’s Lives Through Housing - An Integrated Approach to Housing for People and Communities, was released in 2000 and outlines a responsive strategic direction for the Queensland Department of Housing.
