Overview of employment
The Department of Communities employs people across Queensland in a wide variety of professions in Housing and Homelessness Services, Regional Service Delivery and the Communities Property Portfolio.

Public Service Vacancies Gazette lists job vacancies in each Government department providing locality, fortnightly salary classification and closing date for receipt of application - the Employment section of major newspapers lists public service vacancies, including selected vacancies for the department. Please note that all jobs appear in the Gazette before being advertised in newspapers.
It is essential that applicants address each selection criteria in their written application. In accordance with legislative provisions relating to employment in the Queensland Public Service outlined in the Public Service Act 2008, selection will be based on merit.
