Property Portfolio Management
The Department of Housing, through Property Portfolio Management, manages the largest residential property portfolio in the State. Property Portfolio Management is responsible for the strategic management of the department's property portfolio, delivery of the capital investment program and promotion of best practice in residential design.
Property Portfolio Management is the strategic manager of the social housing portfolio that consists of approximately 55,000 dwellings and 1,400 vacant blocks of land, and provides housing stock to the department's service delivery arms.
Property Portfolio Management delivers this through:
- Planning, strategy and standards;
- Development;
- Investment delivery;
- Asset management; and
- Asset information.
The department utilises other government agencies to deliver capital works and maintenance activities. These include Project Services and QBuild in the Department of Public Works.
